This specific version represents the record-tracking "Chaser" aircraft used during the high-stakes test flights of the YF-21. Notably, the lead aircraft, "Chaser One," was piloted by Isamu Dyson, making this kit a significant piece of the Macross Plus narrative.

This release includes newly molded plastic parts for the rocket boosters and closed leg covers to accurately depict the fighter in its high-speed flight state.
